August 4, 2010, 9:16 amMicrosoft announced that it has completed the roll out of its new Hotmail experience. All customers have now been upgraded.
"The majority of you got the new Hotmail just this past week, as we completed the rollout to over 350 million people in more than 220 countries around the world," writes Microsoft's Mike Schackwitz on the Windows Live blog. "Now, everyone can take advantage of a faster Hotmail experience with great new features like one-click filters, Sweep, Active Views and more."

The new hotmail comes with quite a few changes. These include:
- improved inbox clutter elimination
- Microsoft Smartscreen
- individual preference auto-learning
- False-positive reduction
- junk mail descriptors
- spammer infrastructure detection
- time traveling filters
- Hotmail highlights
- one-click filters
- quick views
- inbox search auto-complete
- conversation view
- sweep
All of these features are discussed in more detail here.
Back in early June, Microsoft announced the beginning of the roll-out. It's taken a couple months, but it's finally done.
