Gmail users who are NOT a fan of the conversation view in their emails have the option to turn it off. Google's Wiltse Carpenter (technical lead) took to the Gmail Blog to explain that, even though he is a fan of the feature, not everyone is. Mr. Carpenter likens conversation view to cilantro, stating "you either love it - and, like me, enjoy the nice citrusy, herbal finish it gives to everything from salsa to curry - or you hate it.
