According to an article in the Wall Street Journal , Google CEO Eric Schmidt plans to introduce social-networking elements this fall in "layers" instead a full-on product that has been called Google Me. After it's not-so-successful Wave project and Orkut's inability to catch on in the States, the search empire decided to take a new approach to making its name in the social networking scene.
