Google updated its search engine result pages this week, adding a left hand column with links to help you narrow down your search results. We like it. We have noted a lot of protests on the Web, but seriously, what Google has done is a good thing. Google is torn between two opposing philosophies: (1) simplicity and (2) guidance.
