So far the supplies seem scarce for its heralded Wednesday debut ...but has iPad mania dampened the romance with the e-reader anyhow? Despite announcements of its replenished supplies by midweek, random calls to stores in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York for the elusive e-reader came up empty (although NYC has a snowstorm for an excuse).
