Last week, PayPal X developer, PlaySpan , released some telling stats about the growing and evolving virtual goods industry. The survey revealed an uptick of 14 percent in consumer spending on virtual goods in the last 12 months. It also said PayPal and credit cards are the most popular way to pay for virtual goods, with more than half of buyers saying they used both methods to pay.
